Dr. Stacey Brodie Walker
Licensed Counseling Psychologist
Dr. Brodie Walker is a Licensed Counseling Psychologist who received her doctoral degree from Howard University in Washington, DC. Dr. Brodie Walker has over 20 years of clinical experience in both the US and Jamaica. Some of the experiences includes her training with at-risk/delinquent children and adolescents as she has served in the capacity of Staff Therapist at the University of Miami/Institute for Family Living; Psychology Graduate Research Associate at the Perinatal C.A.R.E. Program, University of Miami/Medical Campus; Psychological Consultant at Buena Vista Academy: An Educational Day Program for Adolescents in Washington DC; Clinical Psychology Intern at Family and Adolescents Development Center in Miami, FL.; Psychologist at New Horizon Mental Health Community Center in Miami, FL; the Adolescent Clinic in Jamaica/University Hospital of the West Indies, Psychiatric Ward and her private practice.
Dr. Brodie Walker is also a Qualified Supervisor MHC. She provides individual and group supervision for registered mental health counselor interns pursuing licensure.
Dr. Brodie Walker is the former Head of the Psychology Unit and Coordinator of the Clinical Psychology Master’s Program in the Department of Sociology, Psychology and Social Work at the University of the West Indies (UWI), Mona Campus. Dr. Brodie Walker also taught in both the graduate and undergraduate programs where she held the post of Senior Lecturer.
Dr. Brodie Walker’s areas of specialty includes adolescent disorders/juvenile delinquency (conduct disorder, oppositional defiant disorder and eating disorder). In 2010, Dr. Brodie Walker completed a post-doctoral training at The Renfrew Center: The First in Eating Disorder in Coconut Creek, Florida. Dr. Brodie Walker also works with couples and families and is a certified Divorce Mediator.
