Rose-Marie Whyte Williams is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor since 2011. She is also a Qualified Florida Supervisor and a Certified Addictions Specialist. Mrs. Whyte Williams has over 7 years of experience working with dual diagnosis children, adolescents, and their families. She is also experienced in leading a clinical team in an Intensive Outpatient setting.
Mrs. Whyte Williams has supervised master’s degree level Mental Health students in their pursuits to licensure and has conducted therapeutic groups for potential master’s degree level graduates. Mrs. Whyte Williams has teaching experience with master’s degree level counseling students and conducted Psychosocial Rehabilitation Groups.
Mrs. Whyte Williams is the mother of two and loves working with parents and their children. She offers support using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy which allows the client to play an active role in their treatment. She takes a client centered approach to therapy and explores the client’s negative self-talk and helps them to replace them with more positive affirmations. Mrs. Whyte Williams uses Motivational Interviewing skills to help clients with decision making and transitioning through the various stages of change. She believes in creating an open and safe environment for the client to share issues and feelings without being judged. The client’s cultural background is very important in the therapeutic process and Mrs. Whyte Williams has worked with a diverse cultural population and embraces the values, beliefs, and world views of her clients. She believes in helping clients to explore their strengths and attributes by teaching various coping skills and utilizing role play and other techniques. Mrs. Whyte Williams specializes in Attention- Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder, Impulsivity, Oppositional Defiant Disorder, Conduct Disorder, anger management techniques, parenting skills, Postpartum Depression, Depression and Anxiety.
